The gallery, located inside the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts, exposes a collection of paintings and sculptures (from Daniel Seyter to Giuseppe Pietro Bagetti, from Filippo Lippi to Francesco Salviati…) once used as didactical instruments for the young artists.
One of the most important collection’s parts is the graphic fund of 60 “cartoni preparatori” by the artist Gaudenzio Ferrari and his atelier, dating back to XVII century. He has been one of the most important painters in the piedmonts Rinascimento. The collection has been donated to the museum by King Carlo Alberto of Savoia in 1832.
