Situated in Castello Square, the Royal Palace is the heart of Savoy Family, and was built at the end of XVI century, after Torino had become the capital of Savoy’s territories.

As princes and princesses you will  walk through the luxurious halls of the first floor, lighted by enormous Bohemian crystal  chandeliers, to arrive to the Hall of Throne  and enter in the room where Carlo Alberto signed the Statuto Albertino.   You will be surprised by the mirrors which covers the Daniel’s Gallery and you will be able to imagine yourself twirling on a waltz in the big Neoclassic Ballroom. After you walk the  luminous Scissors Stair, projected by Filippo Juvarra, you can look around in the rooms of the second floor, which hosted the Princes of Piemonte, the heirs to the throne.

By taking a walk through the sparkling Beaumont’s Gallery, surrounded by equestrian sculptures, you can visit the Royal Armory, XVIII century museum founded by Carlo Alberto, which reunites all the weapons (cold steel, firearms, oriental etc.) used, collected or buyed by Savoy Family.

At the end you can also admire the neoclassical Royal Library, wanted by Carlo Alberto as well, where, between thousands of volumes, prints, illuminated books and maps, are conserved some famous Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings, among which the mysterious Self Portrait.
