Just outside Turin the impressive Moncalieri Castle rises on the top of a hill. Medieval’s age fort, reworked by will of Savoy Family starting from 1600.

Favourite residence of the dynasty first king, Vittorio Amedeo II, that also died in this castle in 1732, it has been inhabitated untill the end of XIX century by the “Saint of Moncalieri”, Maria Clotilde di Savoia, first born daughter of Vittorio Emanuele II.

After a very serius fire have been recently reopened to public the apartments of the princess and her daughter.
