Seat of the XX Winter Olympic Games of 2006, the Pinerolese is composed by three different valleys: Val Chisone, Val Pellice e Val Germanasca. You can’t miss a tour of this zone if you love nature, sport or if you want to lern somethng more about the “Valdese” culture. Here you can also find the magnificent Fenestrelle Fort, symbol monument of the Torino’s province, surnamed the “Piedmont’s Great Wall” for it’s monumental appearance.
The most important city is Pinerolo, the “Piedmont’s Nizza”, famous for the Galup “panettone” factory and for the Historical Museum of the Cavalry. Not to miss is an excursion to the “Colle di San Maurizio” to admire the beautiful landscape , and a taste of the delicious Zurigo Cake, created in 1930 for Princess Jolanda of Savoia.
