Rivoli Castle has crossed centuries of history: from middle age castle to duke’s Emanuele Filiberto residence, to sumptuous palace projected by architect Carlo di Castellamonte for duke Carlo Emanuele I. Seriously damaged at the end of XVII century, during the war against French army, it has to be renewed by architect Filippo Juvarra, who in 1718 elaborated a magnificent project, never accomplished. We will guide you to the discovery of the incomplete castle’s architecture, as well as to admire the Contemporary Art Museum’s collections hosted in the building.
